The Salvation Army of North Texas
Court-Ordered Substance Abuse Program

We promote healthy behaviors through residential and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment services for men and women on parole/probation for a drug-related offense ordered by a local criminal justice system.

Probationers are assigned to the program by area courts; parolees are assigned by the Texas Department of Corrections.

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (L.C.D.C.) provide case management, individual and group counseling. Participants stay in the program for up to fifteen months, attending various group meetings, including Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-step programs.

Addiction is impossible to overcome without significant changes in a person's life and environment. Our treatment program addresses all areas affecting the individual in need of help, including: Multiple drug addictions Involvement in the criminal justice system Lack of social support system Mental health problems

In Texas, most crimes are drug related. Our Substance Abuse Program is an effective safeguard against the vicious cycle of recidivism.
